I'm a New Zealand citizen living in Sydney, where I work as an engineer at a manufacturing research facility. I grew up in Invercargill. I've spent the last year getting to know the South Island market properly, and I want a house I can own for the long term — kept well, tenanted well, and not sold on in two years.

I'm writing to people directly because the houses I like rarely reach a listing, and in a lot of towns there isn't much on the market to begin with. I'm after three to five bedrooms, a bit of garden, and good sun. It doesn't need to be perfect — I'm comfortable with a place that needs work.
